How we handle decks
A deck is only as good as what is under it. We start with solid footings, frame it square, and finish it clean, so it looks right on day one and stays that way.
We build new decks from scratch, add stairs and railings, and replace boards, joists and posts on decks that have seen better days. If your deck just needs a wash and a fresh coat of stain before summer, we do that too.

Common questions
How long does a new deck take?
Most decks take one to two weeks once we start, depending on the size and the weather. We will give you a schedule with the quote and keep you posted if anything changes.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on the size and height of the deck and where you live. We will tell you what applies when we come out to look, and we handle the paperwork when a permit is needed.
Can you fix my existing deck instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. If the framing is sound we can replace boards, tighten railings and add stairs. If it is not, we will tell you, and we will not sell you a repair that will not last.
